What Busuu is

What Busuu is genuinely better at
Real people correcting you, at a price no tutoring marketplace can match. A native speaker reading what you wrote and telling you it is technically fine but nobody would say it that way is a genuinely valuable thing, and Busuu is the only product on this page that offers it at scale as part of the course.
Where its design puts its weight
Community correction is asynchronous. You submit, you wait, you read the correction later, and the moment of pressure you were trying to practise has long passed. It is excellent for accuracy and cannot train retrieval speed, because nothing you do at your own pace can.

Using Busuu and Speakle together
Use the community for accuracy and Speakle for speed. Send your written answers to Busuu’s native speakers, who will tell you when something is technically fine but not how anyone would say it, and do your spoken practice in Speakle, where the feedback arrives immediately and the pressure is closer to a real conversation. Accuracy and speed are separate skills, and each of these is built around one of them.
Choose Busuu if
Choose Busuu if you value being corrected by actual native speakers and you want a structured, level-aligned course with clear CEFR progression. The community feedback is a real differentiator and worth choosing for on its own.
Choose Speakle if
Choose Speakle if the thing that fails you is speed rather than accuracy. If you write good English and freeze when speaking it, asynchronous correction will not reach the problem, because the problem only appears when there is no time to think.
